1. Forecast and beach are assessed separately
The system assesses wind, gusts, shore waves, temperature and rain, then combines them with access, services and each beach's comfort.
Methodology
The goal is not to show generic weather. The site turns today's conditions into a clear decision: which beach to choose, which are acceptable and which are best avoided.
The system assesses wind, gusts, shore waves, temperature and rain, then combines them with access, services and each beach's comfort.
Swimming prioritises calmer shore waves and moderate wind; walking prioritises wind and rain; family plans prioritise calmer sea, access and services.
An open beach and a tucked-in bay do not feel the same, even when the raw forecast is similar.
The recommendation is advisory. The flag, lifeguards and real sea state always have priority.

Acceptable
Best avoided
If all beaches look poor, the system does not force a recommendation. It says there is no clearly comfortable beach and keeps the list available for comparison.
